Banh mi is an airy and crunchy French-style baguette, stuffed with an every varying combination of meats, vegetables, and sauces.
Banh mi is made with a combination of wheat and rice flours with a thin crispy crust.
The meats you find in Banh Mi are pork, pate, and cured ham. Then some of Vietnamese herbs and vegetables. Typically, the vegetables are coriander, cucumber, carrot, slices, radish, and chili (optional)
In every city of Vietnam, Banh Mi taste differently depends on what people put inside Banh Mi and depends on their own favor. So traveling from North to South of Vietnam, you will never get tired from eating Banh Mi as it brings you quite different flavors.
