NIGHT 1

BUS TO HA GIANG CITY

Please be ready at your hotel for pick up at 6.00 PM. The bus takes around 8 hours. (Morning bus is also available).

Day 1

HA GIANG CITY - QUAN BA - YEN MINH

After breakfast, start our adventure journey from our office. You will be ridden and guided by our local experienced tour guide.

Travel through Bac Sum pass - one of the steepest and windiest passes in Ha Giang. On the way here you will pass cornfields, banana trees, and lots of little roadside stalls selling fresh produce such as dragon fruit and bananas.

We start the first of many long roads up into the mountains when entering the UNESCO Geopark. As you climb the beautiful windy roads of the Bac Sum Pass, the view over the valley below starts to reveal itself. Pullover at the side of the road and take in the spectacular view of the valley below.

On the way to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, we stop for an amazing local lunch.

Heaven’s Gate (Quan Ba)

With the Bac Sum Pass on one side and the Tam Son Valley on the other, Heaven’s Gate offers insane views in both directions. There is a small restaurant on each side of Heaven’s Gate, each offering a different view into the valley below.

Keep riding to the legendary Twin Mountain. Quan Ba Twin Mountain looks from afar like two peaches, a work of art given to this land by nature. It is also associated with a very moving legend about the couple love each other.

Time for hiking, we spend around 1 hour to hike around Quan Ba to enjoy nature.

Heading to Yen Minh, the night is a perfect time for you to learn more about H’Mong ethnic people here by enjoying dinner with the family.

Stay overnight in Yen Minh.

Day 2

YEN MINH - LUNG CU FLAG - DONG VAN

Enjoy your breakfast and get ready for an amazing day.

Tham Ma Pass

As you leave Yen Minh you start your ascent into the mountains straight away. You will pass impressive rice fields full of local women working. The communities here are amongst the most hard-working we have ever seen – with some of the locals bent at a 90-degree angle just to carry the burden of their heavy loads.

The Tham Ma Slope winds through the rice fields and hugs the mountainside. At the top of the pass is a parking area where we get a stop to admire the view.

Keep riding to another mountain viewpoint of Chinh Khoanh. This field of wildflowers is perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the valley below.

Then we stop at Lung Cam H’mong Cultural Village

This village offers an insight into how the local people live and work. We stopped briefly to have a look at the entrance to the village where there is a beautiful field of wildflowers growing.

The next stop is H’mong Royal Palace. Amongst best historic places in Vietnam, H’Mong King Palace stands out of the crowd for its massive structure with its unique design. The structure of H’Mong King Palace is under the strong influence of Chinese architectural style.

The last destination for the day is Lung Cu - A massive flag tower was erected in 2010 to mark the most northern part of Vietnam. Lung Cu is right on the Chinese border and offers amazing views of the surrounding rural villages.

From Lung Cu make your way back to Dong Van where you will stay for the night.

Day 3

DONG VAN - MA PI LENG PASS - MEO VAC - DU GIA

Enjoy your delicious breakfast at our homestay.

Spend a full day to discover the most beautiful pass in Ha Giang.

Ma Pi Leng pass

A stunning drive that hugs the side of the mountain and offers awesome views of the Nho Que River below. There are several points along this road that are worth stopping at for incredible views.

We stop for lunch in Meo Vac town.

On the way to Du Gia we stop for Nham La Viewpoint

The Nham La Viewpoint is situated amongst the mountainous tea plantations.

Drive into Du Gia, which you can find a spectacular view. A crystal clear river winds through the vibrantly green rice terraces where the local people are hard at work.

Enjoy the dinner with our local family and enjoy the fresh atmosphere in the village.

Stay the night in Du Gia

Day 4

DU GIA WATERFALL - HA GIANG CITY - HANOI

After breakfast, we’ll kick the final day of the tour by swimming in Du Gia waterfall. It is a beautiful little waterfall nestled in amongst the surrounding hills, far away from any form of civilization. It will become your most unforgettable experience.

Back homestay for lunch.

On the way back to Ha Giang city you will drive right through the heart of the Huong Thuong Valley and pass many local villages bustling with workers in their traditional dress. The drive through the farmland on the valley floor will be awesome.

Take the rest at our homestay and have dinner before catching the sleeping bus at 8.00 PM back to Hanoi. You will arrive in Hanoi at 4.00 AM the next day.

End of the wonderful journey!
