Ninh Binh is a fascinating place where apart from inspiring scenery, you have easy access to the most rural and authentic side of Vietnam. Visit the busier areas of Tam Coc, Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s old capital Hoa Lu, or Bich Dong Pagoda, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An complex. You also can have a chance to visit Cuc Phuong national park, Dancing Cave which is well-known nowadays. Ninh Binh is 100km away from Hanoi. It takes only 2 and a half hours on our bus from Hanoi to get to Ninh Binh.
HOW TO GET TO NINH BINH?
There are a lot of ways to reach Ninh Binh from Hanoi:
-Motobikes: Once you are in Vietnam, you can reach basically everywhere by motorcycle, even at the most remote places. It is a very easy route on the motorbike.
-Shuttle buses: If you are traveling on your own and want to save cost, taking the bus from Hanoi to Ninh Binh can be a good thrill. It will take about 2 hours to reach Ninh Binh. The shuttle buses depart from Hanoi in the morning every day. The open bus from Hanoi in the evening every day.
-Private transfer: While traveling by shuttle bus you need to share the car with other guests, a private transfer will be customized to your schedule and serve only you. However, it will cost more than both 2 previous ways.
-Train: There are a train route From Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Ninh Binh's train station is just behind the bus station across the Van River from the post office. It takes around 3 hours.
From Halong Bay or Hai Phong, you can take a local bus to Ninh Binh

In Mai Chau, you can take a walk, hire bicycles, motorbikes or scooters to visit surrounding or even go further to Pu Luong Nature Reserve or Buoc Village / Hieu Village...seeing the local farmers are doing farm on the paddy fields or passing by some local traditional stilts houses to visit their local technique of brocade weaving in making some clothes, bags...
The most popular accommodation in Mai Chau is homestay - a local family house of ethnic people. In the evening, they will have a traditional dance performance, you are able to entertain by joining with them, enjoy local wine and communicate with local people.
