DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1

SAIGON MOTORBIKE FOOD TOUR

5:30 PM

Our guides will pick you up at your hotel and ride you to a café in the Pham Ngu Lao area where we meet other travelers and our tour leader for a tour briefing on what you will see and try for the evening. We then make our way to District 4 over the bridge where you can recognize the contrasts of Saigon. We will keep riding to another bridge where you can take nice photos and admire the sunset on the canal.

Our ride along the riverbank gives a magnificent view of Saigon and the central area with legendary hotels, towers, and trading centers. You will try “BBQ street food “. We will sip a glass of fresh sugar cane juice while devouring this tasty treat.

Your next stop will be the best meatball Banh Mi stand that you cannot miss. The business starts at 3:00 PM and sells out around 8:00 PM. We sometimes have to stay in line but it will be worth the wait. There is an interesting story about this business owner which will be telling you while enjoying your sandwich.

Your ride then comes to District 3 where we will have our main dish in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant that serves delicious rice cakes dressed with different meets, peanuts, and leafy green seasonings.

Cruising over into Chinatown (district 5) we will stop by an 80-year-old institution in Saigon. Here several traditional sweet snacks will be served for all to sample. Everything from sweet custards to fresh fruit in succulent syrups. It’s a great way to cap off an evening of the many savory meat delights.

From District 5 the trip will take us down the popular shopping street of Nguyen Trai street and back to the Pham Ngu Lao area for a nightcap at Le Pub. A local watering hole favored by young Vietnamese and travelers alike.

Day 2

CU CHI TUNNEL AND MEKONG DELTA

7:00 AM

Pick up at your hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. The trip to Cu Chi will take you an approximately one and a half-hour bus drive. Before exploring the tunnels, you will watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime. Then, spend your time exploring the remaining areas and tunnel system which include special living areas with kitchens and bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purposes during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerrillas’ food during the war) will be served. Break time.

Have lunch at the local restaurant.

Continue to visit My Tho city. With a boat trip on Tien River, you will be excited by the light breeze from the river and the natural beauty of four beautiful islands such as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise along the riverside.

Cruise through the small canal by sampan, treating yourself to the beauty of the countryside, and taking short cycling around the village which will certainly be an unforgettable experience when participating in the Mekong Delta tour. Visit the coconut candy workshop, and enjoy seasonal delicious fruits & honey tea. Get a chance to listen to Southern Vietnamese folk music which is performed by local people.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City at around 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

Day 3

HO CHI MINH - DA LAT

Enjoy your breakfast and last free day in Ho Chi Minh city before transferring to the airport to catch the flight to Da Lat.

Pick up from Lien Khuong airport (Da Lat) and take you to your hotel.
Check-in your room and enjoy your first night in Da Lat.

Day 4
